Thanks to my good pal Jheri I finally stepped out of my comfort box and put my camera on Manual mode and am shooting in RAW! I have had my camera for 4 years now and before yesterday I had only put it on Manual once to get 'twinkle' lights on the Xmas tree.
Here are a few of my photos:
Thanks for the training session and the push Jheri! You rock! :)

Spectacular photos, Pam! Congratulations on getting out of the box :).
Your pictures came out stunning!
hi, Pam! we "knew" each other from a loooonnnnnggggg time ago paper scrapping... are you still??
I have entered the land of photography as well and have even begun portfolio building my portraiture. It takes lots of practice but I hardly ever shoot in anything but manual any more.
I have a tip for you...
when doing sunset shots put your White Balance in "cloudy" mode so you really pull those colors in!!
Do you have a gray card? (really a white card to help create your own custom white balance- that is really the best to do IMHO.
Love that you came out of the box. :) What fun!!!
These are beautiful pics Pam! Looks like you might have a new hobby... :-)
Pam your photos are just gorgeous!! Now you can teach me :)
Holy Crud! You're a fast learner. ALL of these pictures are beautiful. I'm SOOOO impressed Pam!

I'm cheering here for you Pam!!! Especially love the shot of the fuschia.
Great job Pam!!! Love the photos, I get so intimidated when I switch to manual.
