Whew, it’s dusty in here!

Hello, is this thing on? Cough, Cough! Sweep, Sweep! Now that I’ve cleared the dust and cob webs I’ll post a little update! My baby turned 15 yesterday, my oldest turns 18 tomorrow! Oh and did I mention he also graduates this year? Where does the time go?  They are both playing football this  year so I’ve been spending a lot of time on the football field.

It’s been an exciting 2013 to say the least. I went to San Diego to visit my BFF Chris for my annual trip and had a blast as usual. Went on the annual girls scrapbooking with my mom and some more great girlfriends in April as well. Then in June I ended up with a short unexpected visit to the hospital for a three day stay. Then we went on our annual York Beach vacation in July.

And in September I took on another job. This is a fun job though not a hard job! I have started selling Origami Owl Lockets. Why on earth after working full time and running a non-profit organization did I take on something else? Well I knew Jake is considering college next year so I wanted to have some extra income and these little lockets really interested the scrapbooker and ‘collector’ in me.  With Origami Owl you Create a Living Locket™ with custom designed charms that tell the story of your life and represent the things you love. They are so fun and make great gifts as well! I was sold on them so I figured if I loved the product they would be something I could sell and have fun doing it. My love for jewelry also helped!  If you are so inclined, check out my webpage and my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/transcendenttrinkets.origamiowl as there are some great ideas on lockets there as well

So that wraps up where I’ve been the last 10 almost 11 now that November is right around the corner! Till next time!

A Scrappy Weekend

Last weekend I went away on my annual scrapbook weekend with my mom and a few friends and was able to complete 21 layouts and three cards.I finally got unpacked Friday night and got a few of the layouts scanned today so I figured since this poor blog never gets used I'd at least put them up here so someday I could look back at them! Lord knows I never open the albums they end up in! I'm slowly plugging away at my San Diego photos from last year. Good thing since I took another 300+ photos on my trip this year!

I still have eight more to do, but I got tired of scanning and Josh is bugging me for the computer so I'll finish another day!

Snowy Day Means a Scrappy Day!

I decided to make some more cards today since I am in a creative mood. I’m not ever in the mood to make cards so I figured while it’s there grab hold of it and go!  Here are the few I got done today.

Saw the idea for this doily wedding dress on Pinterest and decided to make a shower card with it.

And some birthday cards…

Sharing Some Cards

I have a get together with some friends each month to celebrate birthdays and keep in touch so I got a jump start and made a few of the cards the other day. I thought I’d share them because I am not a cardmaker and I was pretty happy with how they turned out…
