20 Years!

Man where does the time go? I've been married to this man for 20 years today! We met in High School thanks to my now SIL who introduced us. She apologizes constantly! LOL! ;) And we broke up for a bit and dated others but we ended up back together for good when I graduated. We've had our good times and our bad times but as Shania Twain says "Looks Like We Made It"!

We aren't doing anything special tonight, we leave for Disney on Sept 8th. That is our present to each other and the boys! :)

Warning! Don't Take Sensitive Children to a Wild Animal Park!

Since we spent the weekend in Maine at my In-laws house we decided to break up the 3 hour trip home with a stop at the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, ME. We thought it was a good idea at the time, both boys wanted to and the weather was nice.

Foward Scene to when we start walking around the park after they have just taken my last $20 in cash (they don't take credit cards and I never have cash!) and we get to the bobcat cage. The bobcats are pacing as most wild animals do when caged, the stench is horrendous and Jake doesn't like it much. Next cage, another animal I think it was an albino porcupine cool huh), and it's pacing. And the next cage, at this point I can't remember the animal, it's pacing too! And at this point, Jake has a breakdown, is bawling and wants to leave. We try to explain to him that these animals are better off here because they were hurt, orphaned, or being held illegally as pets and can't live on their own in the wild. What does my boy say, "they would be better off dead than unhappy and pacing in a smelly cage". I have to admit I kind of agree with him. I also don't think he will ever go on another elephant ride again. And as for taking him to a real zoo, that's not happening!

Oh the joys of having a sensitive kid! Now you've had fair warning,if you too have one! ;)

IKEA!!! OH MY!

I went to Ikea last night with a couple of friends. The store closest to me is an hour and a half away and let me tell you it was sooooo worth the trip! What an awesome place! It took us 2 hours to get through the whole place! I had a list a mile long when I left of ideas and wants! So stinkin cool!!! I am not so sure Michael thinks it's cool because now I've found more ways to spend money I don't have but he'll get over it! He always does! :) Seriously, if you have one near you, you have to go! It's so much better than the website!

And in other news, Jake and I are a total mess. I was thinking allergies because it's itchy eyes, soar throat, runny nose and coughing but the weird thing is that there is nothing in the allergy index even on the moderate side right now. I also have a huge cold sore on my lip (totally looks like I got smacked in the mouth) so I figured I could be getting sick because that's about the only time I get these damn things. Who knows! All I know is that it's miserable!

My Boy Made the Paper!

Josh went to "Old Home Days" last weekend with my Mom. He had his whole face painted like a lizard and had a great time. Well this weekend, my Mom was reading our small town weekly newspaper and look what she found...Yep, the boy with the green face is my Josh! LOL! He was so excited to see himself in the paper! Granted my Mom had no idea who the person was taking his photo and she let him anyway! I told her not to do that again! At least his name isn't in the article without permission!

A New PAPER page!

Yep, I scrapped! It was fun. We spent the day at the Lake with Chris yesterday and then last night she came over to hang in my scraproom. I got one page done in 2 hours! I hate to say it but it's really hard for me to paper scrap lately! I think I've been doing way too much digi! LOL!

I got my August Heidi Swapp kit in on Thursday so I was dying to use all that pink and brown loveliness since it is my favorite color combo. I had to find a girl photo and the only other girl in the house is my sweet pup Bear. This photo was taken in 1997 when she was about 4 years old. She's now 15 years old and much greyer! ;)

Credits can be seen here. The tag flipped during scanning, the other side is painted with a bronze krylon pen and there is a white "B" in the center.

So we are off to a friends for an annual Luau today and tomorrow we are having company. I may not post again till Monday! Have a great weekend!

3 weeks 4 days till Disney

I got my Birnbaums Official Guide and also the "Unofficial Guide" books in the mail yesterday! Jake started reading the Official Guide before bed! I have put together a spreadsheet of Park Hours and Schedules for the week and now we need to decide which "Special" to do, whether it be a Character Breakfast, Dine with Shamu, Luau, etc. I am voting for Shamu but we'll have to see how everyone else in the family sees it!

This is our first time to Disney with the boys and Michael and I haven't been there since our 5 year anniversary in 1992 so I can't wait! There are a few things I'm not looking foward to like who will go with the boys on the 'hell' rides and some stuff I won't mention on my blog for fear of who reads it that I don't know about! ;) But all in all it should be a blast!

If anyone has any 'must see' things or something special you want to mention if you've been there please do!

And for the next three weeks and 4 days you may see a lot of counting down!

What Do I Do with Myself?

My boys are gone to Maine to spend the week with my in-laws on the lake and my good buds Rachael and Cindy are on vacation all week. What am I gonna do with myself without them to chat on the phone with and my boys to keep me occupied? Does anyone want to come and visit so my house isn't so quiet? LOL! It was so strange after Michael left this morning. I had no one to tell, "brush your teeth, wash your face, put some sunblock on", no lunches to make, and the house was eerie! You'd think I'd be doing the happy dance but I'm not! LOL!

Maybe I'll get some scrapping in! I've got to get to Staples for more in though because my printer ran out of Photo Magenta and Black yesterday. I had black but no PM! Dang I hate that! I'm gonna buy one of every color so I have them on hand! The one thing I am going to look forward to is if I need to stop and do any shopping this week I can and won't have to worry about being late for daycare pickup! Oh and I was folding laundry this morning because I was ready with 45 minutes to spare! So that's a plus! But I can't wait till Friday when we'll be heading up to Maine to see the boys.

Oh and I just talked to them both and they are having a blast already! It seems that my oldest Jake and his cousin Joey (there are 4 boys up there) were playing Tether Ball and that Jake may have given Joey a black eye already! So the excitement has already started! They are off to go tubing very soon (something I don't want to think about) becae it's a gorgeous day already up there. Funny it's pouring here!

I Paper Scrapped!

And it felt good! Of course it wasn't even a page for me! Chris needed someone else to scrap her photo for a challenge she is in and since she was visiting and had her camera with photos of her son on it we figured it was the pefect time to do a page! So then I got the bug of course but I just did that one page and then we took the boys to the lake for a swim. When I got home I went for a walk with Josh and then it was dinner time and after dinner I was too tired to do anything so that one page is it for me I guess! So here is the page I did for Chris:

Chris and I had a nice but too short visit. I picked her up on Sat about 1ish and we went to AC Moore (paper was 40% off) and got some cool stuff, then she took me out to lunch and then we stopped at Wally World so she could stock up on some adhesive she can't get at home and then we went back to my house for Pomegranet Martini's! YUM. I think I've converted Chris from a wine drinker! ;) So although I got to spend 24 hours with her I'm glad she's coming back next month too! CA is just too far for one of your best friends to live!

It's Friday!

Woohoo! I was a bit under the weather yesterday but I am feeling a bit better today and I'm so glad the weekend is almost here. Just a few hours at work and two glorious days off! I am hoping to make it to my scrapbook room maybe at some point, other than to clean it before Chris comes! LOL! I really am cranking out the digi pages but its' just not the same! I need to get my hands dirty! :)

In the digi news, I did do three girly pages this week though! I love doing girly pages! I signed up for 3 photo swaps just so I could do them! And I totally hate doing swaps! I always stress doing someone elses photos! But at least with digi if the photo owner doesn't like the page they just delete it. It's hard to throw away all that awesome paper stuff if you don't like the page! ;)

Anyway, I swapped photos with girls from Shawna's CT and Traci's CT. I ended up with two on Traci's team because we had an uneven swap amount, and guess what, I was good with that, more girl photos for me! LOL! Here are the three pages I did:

My Gotcha Page

The Digi Chick had a great weekend full of challanges and awesome prizes this weekend. I ended up winning two gift certificates from it. One for Natalie Braxton's store and one to The Digi Chick store so that was even better! Anyway, one of the challenges was to download a stock photo and make up a story about it. I knew exactly what photos I wanted to search for on Stock.xchng and had a lot of fun with my page. Here it is:

I also did a bunch of other things from the challenges they had, it was a very productive weekend digi wize. Granted my paper scrapping has really been slacking! I need to get down to my room and soon before I forget how! Plus there will be so much dust down there from lack of use I'll actually have to clean it! ;)

I get to see my good friend Chris this weekend so I'm very excited about that. Unfortunately it's not for a happy occasion that she is coming all the way from California, her Gram died and the funeral is back here. I am sorry about her Gram but she did live a very long life of 99 years and I'm very happy that she's coming to spend a day and night with me on Saturday! Can't wait! Not sure what we are gonna do but it will be great no matter what!

Back Bloggin!

Hello all you out there in blogland! First off all can I just send out each one of you that has commented and kept me in your thoughts a HUGE hug! Thank you all so so much! It has meant a tremendous amount to me to have such awesome friends!

I'm still working out a lot of stuff but the last month has definitely seen some changes. First with the 6" I cut off of my hair! I have had the same hairstyle for 25 years and decided it was time for a change.

Now to lose this weight I've put on and work through some of my other issues.

I was accepted to two new Creative Teams, two of my dream teams as a matter of fact!
Shawna Clingerman most likely got sick of me and just let me in I've applied every time she's had a call and was even guest for her at the end of last year. I've been a huge fan of her work since I discovered Digi Scrapping.

Traci Reed also invited me to be part of her 'Altered' CT. I have also been a huge fan of Traci's since I discovered her stuff. AND I get to digi and paper scrapping at the same time! I made my first altered project this past weekend for the Team Blog go and check it out, instructions are included and you paper scrappers can just use your scrapping stuff! ;)

So that's what's up with me since my last post. I just want to say thanks again for sticking it out with me!

Back in a Bit

Weekend Recap

We had a nice visit with my MIL and FIL on Friday and Sat. but I ate way too much! Then Sunday and Monday we kind of just hung around and I got some paper scrapping and a little beading in. I think this bracelet reminds me of the beach, I wished I'd had some kind of beachy charm to add to it but I think it turned out OK:

I did 3 paper pages, no new photos because my printer was out of ink but at least they are done. This one is based off a sketch I created for 123-Scrap and I loved the papers but I think the black flourish is throwing it off. I may need to change it. I thought with the rub-ons it would be OK but I think because it's not flat it sticks out too much, KWIM?

And this one is of course in my favorite color combo since I can never resist the chance to use it! It's based off a digi sketch template by my friend Rachael

And this is a digi page I did last night. I found these old photos over the weekend when I was looking for some other photos on CD for Michael. Happy Memorial Day Weekend and A Freebie for my Digi Friends!

It's an extra long weekend here at the Bumbaca household. My MIL and FIL came to visit yesterday and they just left a few minutes ago. We had a very nice visit. They brought the newest member of the family to visit with them. I was a bit leary of that but that's another story and it turned out to be OK anyway. My newest BIL, Mickey is 10 weeks old and very cute! Here is one photo of many I took of him over the last two days:

I am wiped out! I cleaned house until 9pm Thursday night, got up and ran errands Friday am before my inlaws got here, cooked a big spaghetti and meatball dinner salad and strawberry shortcake (thanks to Kendra for the craving) for dinner last night, then today made sausage biscuits with gravy, eggs and fruit salad for breakfast, we went for a nice walk this afternoon and then I made marinated steak tips and some yummy potatoes for lunch and some cookies before they left this afternoon! And of course in between took lots of photos and played with the puppy! ;) Oh and did I mention Jake had a baseball game in there too! LOL! I plan on doing nothing tomorrow! Well except maybe head down to my scraproom for a bit! I'll need to go to Staples for some ink first since I am out of yellow and I know I'll just have to scrap some new photos from this weekend even tho I've got a million older photos needed to be done! ;)

I got a fun kit from Kendra left over from one of the classes she taught in the mail today and since I can't take any of her classes that's the next best thing! She is incredibly talented and I am thrilled to have the kit to at least make something she designed!

OK, I've done enough chatting. On to the freebie. I made these silk flowers during the same time I made the shades of blue kit. I've not been back to the whole designing thing again but I've got a few things stored up to share every now and then. I'm going to have to do a lot more learning to be any good at it that's for sure but hopefully for my digi friends you can get some use out of these. Here is the preview:

I Paper Scrapped!

For the first time in a month! I only got one page done but boy it felt good! I tried to start on an altered project too but I started to feel yucky in my tummy and had to quit. I'm headed down there for a couple of hours before I have to get ready for a double header baseball game and then a wake after this post to see how far I can get again today. Karen maybe I'll finish your bday present! :)

So here is my page. I used Teresa Collin's of Junkitz Extreme Boy Line. Love it!!! I've been waiting for a special photo to use these papers, I think I found it!

It's been raining here all weekend which is why they are trying to get a double header in today but from the looks of the rain today not to sure that is going to happen either. Well maybe more scraptime for me then! ;)

Nose for Sale!

I want a new one! One that doesn't run! Man allergies are the pits! I'll sell these itchy eyes while I'm at it too. LOL! I got some eye drops from the doc, they are supposed to be really strong, the co-pay was $45 (which means they are tier 1) and they worked for all of 5 minutes. You can use them twice a day. I won't be refilling those! I also got Allegra. Not high on my recommendation list either. Another one that you take 2x a day. It works all of about a nano-second.

Yesterday was exciting. We had tornado watches start up at about 2:30. Right when my son gets home from school and an hour before I leave from work. I'm 40 minutes away from home. Jake calls and says "Mom, when are you coming home? It's raining like crazy and there are tornado watches!" I say "Can you go next door?" He says "Nope, they aren't home." Great! So I say, "Watch the news, if the tv starts that buzzing noise you call me right away and I'll tell you what to do." What else can I do? In the end we just had some serious downpours, thunder, lightening and no baseball! :) But that means a makeup game tomorrow night. Bummer!

The CK Convention is in town this weekend and I was hoping to sneak over there. Oh well, I guess I'll save a few pennies. Who am I kidding I'll save mega bucks! :)

I am really hoping to get down to my scraproom this weekend . Granted I have to figured out when I'll actually have time to do that but maybe just maybe. I've got so much stuff to work on pending down there and some major dust bunnies building up from no movement in that room! LOL!

In other news we had a fabulous day in Boston on Mother's Day. We went out for some great eats to a restaurant we learned about when Jen and Adam came to town last summer. My DH actually wants to go back for Father's day. Jen want to come with us? ;) And we took the boys to the top of the Prudential Center and they just loved that! I got some fun photos of a Red Sox game going on at Fenway Park!

It was just a perfect day.

Last night Jake had a baseball game. They won, 17-6. Jake had 4 terrific hits to the back of the field, I thought he was going to hit one over the fence for sure! I think this is his year for his first home run! It was a great game! They played the Red Sox of all teams to beat! ;) Funny Josh's team got crushed by the Red Sox on Saturday! ;) Tonight it's Soccer practice and tomorrow night it's two more games at the same time different fields, I wish I could clone myself so I could be at them both! I hate having to say no to one! :(

Busy Saturday!

We are off for a full day! First Jake has Baseball pictures at 8:10 and then Jake has a baseball game at 9am and Josh has a soccer game at the same time. So I'll be running back and forth trying to take photos of them both! Then I have to run Josh to the car to change for after his game gets over at 10 for his baseball photos at 10:30! Thank goodness this is all at the same place! Only because it's not raining today! If it were yesterday we'd be running clear across town! Then we get to go home to take a breather and eat some lunch and it's back to another part of town for Josh's baseball game! This is my life until the end of June or maybe the beginning of July! At least I'm driving today so I can do it myself instead of being a 14 yo again and having my mommy take me! LOL!

Not Much New Here

I'm still working from home and going to PT twice a week. I go back to driving on Monday. Mother's Day is Sunday and because I'm not driving I have not bought cards or gifts yet! Of course Michael calls me today and says, will you order yourself that lens that you want? It's never a surprise for me! LOL! I'm getting this:

We have baseball games/practices, soccer games/practices almost every night and most of the day on Sat! I think we may have one night off this week. My mom's been a trooper driving us all over the place but man I feel like I'm 14 again! LOL!

Temporarily Suspended

from driving that is! For 2 weeks! ACK! I have had some neck pain for about 2 weeks now. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went to the ER on Sat. Fun 3 hours wasted and meds that don't work out of that! So I call my doc yesterday and of course they can't fit me in until today. They say since I was already seen at the ER I need to wait 3 days! UGH! So today I am told I need to go to Physical Therapy and no driving for 2 weeks! Granted driving kills my neck but that's a long time! The meds they gave me are stronger and I guess you shouldn't drive and when my doc heard I worked a 40 minute drive away she said uh-uh! So I should be a bit nuts working from home and having no one to talk to all day for that long! I'm a very outgoing person I need to gab! ;)

It's also the start of baseball and soccer season and we have games/practices 3 nights a week and on Saturday! How's that going to happen when I can't drive and my husband works all over kingdom come? Oh Mom... Thank GOD for my mom and that she lives close! Dang, sometimes she drives me nuts but she's a lifesaver! I have to get her something good for Mother's Day! Any ideas anyone?

I Made A DIGITAL Kit!

I want to start off by saying I am no Christina Renee or Jessica Bolton but because of the wonderful kits these two and many other ladies put together for a little boy named Miles and his mom I had to do a PIF (play it forward). I wanted it to be big and so this is what I came up with. I'd love to see if anyone uses it so if you do please come back and link up here! I'm a bit nervous because I've never even thought I would make a kit, I just love to scrap but decided I would at least give it a whirl. Anyway here is the preview:

1) I am an only child. I wanted a sibling for most of my life except for a small time when my mom got married and talked about having another child. I freaked! It was more because I didn't think she was in the right health to have another baby but was being pushed by her much younger husband at the time. Everyone thought it was me being selfish.

2) I have lived in Massachusetts, Maryland, Alabama, Ohio Hawaii and my current home is in New Hampshire. I hope to move one more time in my life to somewhere warm year round!

3) I was in a beauty pagaent when I was 16 and came in the semi-finalists.

4) My husband was my high school sweetheart.

5) I am a neat freak and drive myself and everyone in my house crazy because of it.

6) I am very spoiled and high maintenance. I hate that fact about me but can't seem to change it.

7) I have had a migraine for a week now!

More Flooding for the Northeast

I heard on the news today 3 floods in 18 months. That's not something you want to hear. What is that telling us?

Yesterday I got to work at 7:30 only to be called back home at 9 to pick up Jake who wasn't feeling well. Now there were several reasons I didn't want to go home, one being that I was out sick most of last week myself, two, it was flipping windy and I didn't want to be home if a tree came down, and three I knew I'd find water in my basement when I got there!

Third one was not fun, I had to bail the water out by carrying 5 gallon buckets as full as I could handle (water is not light) up the basement stairs to the kitchen sink to dump it. So not fun! But I only had to do it for a little while as my DH came home with a new pump and took over! Now the basement is dry and I'm feeling bad for all those people who have been evacuated from their homes and have lost much more. I don't know why I complained! It's a mess out there!

I'm hoping I can get thru the whole day at work today! Fingers crossed! Have a great Tuesday!

Not Much To Say

I've been in bed sick for three days now. I went to the doc yesterday and I have a sinus infection and a bad cold. I'm hacking constantly, feverish and to top it all off I puked up my antibiotics right after I took them yesterday! I've got nothing interesting to say except I've used more tissues in three days than I have in a year! But hey I updated so at least you all know I'm not dead!

LUCKY ME!

I won a TV! On Friday afternoon at work! What a great way to end the week! We had a bunch of vendors in, Verizon Wireless, a gym, the Credit Union, Costco and Dell! Well there was a drawing for a 26" LCD flat screen TV and I won! I couldn't believe it! Here is a photo of my very cool prize!

We put it in our bedroom and it's awesome!

In other news we had a great day yesterday, with a hunt for very full Easter baskets and then 75 eggs. Then off to my Godmother's house where there were 13 of us for dinner and about 10 more came in for dessert. It was a great afternoon and we were all wiped when we got home. I got some great photos of the hunt and the basket opening but can you believe I didn't take a photo of my boys looking all neat and clean in their easter outfits! And Jake was even sporting a new "DO" too! What was I thinking? I also ate way too much and today is the beginning of a serious diet! I have got to lose about 15 pounds and start exercising no excuses! After a photo DH took of my with my cousins yesterday I realized how flipping much weight I have gained and I do not like it at all! So that was the only bad part of yesterday, that reality slap. I haven't decided if I'm going to do WW or South Beach yet but I am starting off today with a hard boiled egg and a cheese stick so it will work for either! ;)

SNOW in April?!!

We got a nasty winter storm last night and woke up to about 5" today! It's April and Spring for crying out loud! Not a very nice belated April Fools Joke considering it's NO JOKE!

So last night while it was snowing and the boys and I were home alone since Michael was plowing we colored eggs. I have to share the one I made is Pink with Brown flowers of course! I had to take a photo of it before I ate it for breakfast this morning! LOL!

DSS Blog Challenge

I need to blog about something has given you a feeling or experience of adventure lately for the Digi Scrap Shak April 1 Blog challenge! I have to say that I can't think of one thing! I'm not a very adventurist type. The closest thing I can say is that I used real cardboard on a paper page because I love using it on my digi pages so much I had to see if I liked it as much IRL! LOL!

I've got my first sketch challenge up over at DSS starting today! I hope enough people like the template to do my challenge! I'm no Rachael Giallongo or Jen Caputo! Love you girls! ;) I'm taking it over for another girl that's about to have a baby and has too much going on to keep it going so hopefully the members will be OK with the change! I'd be pretty sad if no one did it!

We went out to get Easter clothes and eggs today. Just boiled them and we'll color them later I think, depending on how the boys are getting along! Man all they do is bicker! I am so not used to it! Being an only child I had no one to bicker with! UGH! I also picked them up some rubber boots to play in the mud with! They are water and mud magnets so I figured the boots would be better than having to wash sneakers once a week!

It's Finally Friday!

I cannot believe how long this week has seemed! I'm looking foward to the weekend and some downtime! It's supposed to be nice and I think I'll do something with my boys since I have been spending way too much time on the computer or doing other stuff lately. I scrapped all last weekend and I'm going again in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna take some time and just hang with them. It's almost baseball and soccer season so we need to get baseball pants, and socks and soccer shorts and shin guards and cleats for both, cha ching!

I have also done not one stitch of Easter shopping and it's next weekend! ARG!!! I am usually done way before! I also missed a couple of bdays this month! I never do that! I tell you there is something so off with me! I think I'm going to have my blood drawn to see if it's a vitamin thing or what. I am tired, don't want to do anything, have gained a TON of weight and it's not like my eating habits have changed THAT much! I am also cold all the time! I cannot wait until the warm weather is here!

So here is another page I did this weekend. Torn cardboard is all the rage in the digi world and I decided I wanted to try it on my paper pages so I got a cardboard box and ripped it up. It does make for a bulky page but man I love the look!

Love those glitter letters from K&Co too! I think I used them on 3 pages this weekend! Gotta thank my good pal Rachael for bringing them! LOL! I hand stitched on this one too, now I remember why I love my sewing machine so much!

I Paper Scrapped

I went to a scrapping sleepover and did 11 pages. We had a great time too. There were 8 of us in total and there were a lot of laughs, good food, Chocolate Raspberry Martini's and of course scrapping! I was happiest with this page I think:

I love these papers! I think they are by Dream Street? The photo is of my MIL and FIL on their trip cross country. I am not sure where this one is exactly but they spent from June till Sept on the road last year, most of it in Alaska. They took some gorgeous shots! I don't have many photos of the two of them together because my MIL hates having her photo taken as much as I do so I love this one!

I am still in my funk, not sure what is wrong with me, I'm so tired all the time, have had a migraine for almost a week now too! I'm thinking it's stress but maybe it's the weather? I have no clue! I hope I can snap out of it soon tho because I hate it! So that's all I've got again! I hope that you all have a fantastic Tuesday! SMILE!

I've really not got anything to post about which is why I haven't posted in almost a week!

I am going to a scrapping sleepover on Sat/Sun and hope to have something to show for it when I get home. I have not been feeling great and am a little off in my mood so I'm not my chatty self! My Pup and a Peek!

Bear was sitting so pretty on the office rug that I had to take a photo of her. She's 15 years old and declining fast so I'm trying to take as many good photos of her as I can before we lose her. She has been a wonderful dog the last 15 years! If you don't know, she's 100% purebred PitBull. And she would change your outlook on pitbulls forever if you met her. She loves everyone and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's the worst watch dog ever! I'm sure if someone came into the house she'd say "come on in, take what you want and take me with you when you go!" She actually tried to get into a lawn guy's truck before when he told her "come on bear"! LOL!
And since I was taking pics of Bear I figured I'd give you a peek at the floors. I really wanted to do the "big reveal" when the stairs are done too but since you all asked so nicely! ;) This is my office and my most used room in the house besides my scraproom! ;)

Birthday Fun

Last year when I turned 40 a bunch of my close friends came to town to help me celebrate and we went to a weekend long crop on Cape Cod. This year my friend Wendy came up from FL to help me celebrate! We had a lot of fun, we did some digi scrapping, lots of shopping and some beading! Here are a few photos from the weekend:

No Pictures Yet

I know what kind of scrapbooker am I? LOL! A perfectionist one! I want to take the photos when it's complete. The stairs will not be done until the weather gets better. Honestly the floors look gorgeous! Take my word for it! ;) They are a bit hard to get used to though. My wonderful husband is a freak! You literally cannot step off the rug at the front door with a shoe on, you can't drop a thing on the floor and GOD forbid if the boys drop a toy or laydown and wrestle with jeans on. I have no idea what I was thinking when I said I wanted hardwood! He's all about keeping them prestine and not living. I understand how hard he worked on them and all but come on, this is real life, the floors are going to get a little beat up ya know? Bad thinking on my part. I already put the first dent in them when we were moving my desk back in place. One of the adapter plugs fell off the desk and dented the floor! Not a happy moment.

So that pretty much sums up my weekend. Hope you all have a terrific Monday!

WOOHOO! Floors are Done!

My floors are done! All that's left is the baseboard tomorrow and I get my house back! They look fabulous! My hunny did an awesome job! I'm so so excited to see everything all back in place and see it really finished! So so nice. I worked from home today due to ANOTHER snow storm! It was a bit noisy here but it was fun to be able to see the work get close to done and then the last piece go in! Granted my house is still a huge sawdust/dust pit but it's going to be so flipping awesome when it's done! Next step the stairs! Yeah, my honeydew list is a mile long! I really am spoiled! :)
